Chelsea Register Office Civil Partnership | Neil and Jon

Another chance to photograph a Chelsea Register Office Civil Partnership, this time for Neil and Jon, who brought along their immediate families to help them celebrate and be witnesses to their life-time commitment to each other. The guys have been together for 20 years, so they thought it was about time they took the next step 🙂

We had a lovely day for it, but as with my previous Civil Partnership, we didn’t have quite as much time left after the ceremony as I would have liked for portraits. Although, as Jon and Neil didn’t want to spend much time on this part of their day anyway, this suited them. But generally I would recommend a minimum coverage time of 1.5 hours rather than 1 hour, if you want to get further down the road than a couple of 100 yards. It would have been nice to get into the nearby gardens for a change of scenery on the portraits, but as it was, Chelsea Manor Street formed the background for our portraits once more. At least the sun was out and we “The Big Rain” hadn’t hit us yet.
