Intimate Winter Wedding at Chelsea Register Office

I was delighted to return to Chelsea Register Office to photograph Natalya and Larry’s intimate winter wedding, witnessed by John and Walther, the lovely Chelsea Pensioners. You wouldn’t have thought it was December from the lovely clear day with gorgeous sunshine we had.

The couple tied the knot in the largest of the Chelsea Room’s, the Brydon Room, which is quite unusual for such an intimate group, but as the photographer, I was most certainly happy, as it is the room with the best light. The ceremony was short, sweet and joyous, with Larry reading a text he had especially prepared for his bride.

Once the ceremony was finished, we headed outside to get some portraits in a range of different nearby locations – it was so mild that Natalya even felt comfortable taking her coat off! From there we went on a short walk to finish at the lovely Cadogan Arms, a charming, warm and welcoming gastropub, where a couple of close friends were waiting to congratulate the bride and groom.

I wish them both a long and happy life together.
