This post features Professional Baptism Photography in London at the Brompton Oratory.
Another former bride and groom of mine have had a baby this year. It’s so exciting!! Everyone is having babies, and even better, I keep being invited along to photograph the gorgeous little angels. Today is the turn of Leonardo, who is just 3 weeks old and is about to be baptised at one of London’s oldest and most prestigious churches, the Brompton Oratory. Leonardo’s family have flown in from Brazil and Italy for the occasion, and mum and dad’s closest friends came along too.
Unfortunately, as is often the case in such landmark venues, absolutely NO photography was permitted during the baptism itself, which was a great shame. Instead, we were permitted to take some posed photographs in front of one of the altars after the ceremony had concluded. Then we headed just down the road to one of London’s most exclusive hotels, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel at Knightsbridge, where Vanessa and Giulio had booked a private room for some afternoon tea. We took the opportunity here for a few more portraits, before I left the family to their celebrations. Welcome to the world, Leonardo.
