The ceremony was to take place late in the afternoon and, this being a winter wedding, we knew we would have absolutely no daylight left after the ceremony. So Julia and Nick did the sensible thing and decide that we would meet up an hour before their wedding for their family group shots and wedding portraits.
This was one fun wedding couple – they loved to joke around and have a giggle – in fact, trying to get them to keep still for a moment was like herding cats on a beach! There’s a very pretty church just a short walk from The Coopers Arms and so we used that as the backdrop for our portraits – I think they’re gorgeous, even if I do say so myself!
Julia and Nick are having a big wedding in Uruguay later in the year, and so it was just their immediate families who joined them for lunch and later for the ceremony in the Rossetti Room at Chelsea Register Office. There was also no ring exchange for this ceremony, instead, groom Nick gave a lovely reading for his bride.
As expected, it was indeed pitch black when we got outside after the ceremony, but that did not stop us from having the traditional confetti throw on the Register Office Steps. At least it stayed dry for the day!
