London Wedding Photography | St. Bride’s Church & The Crypt, London | Sophie & Marc

My blog posts seem to be getting longer and longer, but I had such a hard time choosing my favourites from wedding Sophie and Marc’s wedding at the wonderful St. Bride’s Church in Fleet Street, that I couldn’t cut them down any further.

Hands down my favourite wedding dress designer of this year has been Ian Stuart. In the last 3 weeks I have photographed 2 brides in Ian Stuart dresses and what a coincidence that both girls chose the same pair of funky shoes, too, from Irregular Choice. And I just LOVED the rich colours of Sophie’s bouquet. So here we are at Sophie and Marc’s flat, with Sophie getting ready for her wedding day.

The Ceremony took place in the gorgeous St. Brides’ Church, tucked away behind Fleet Street, with David the verger nervously pacing outside, awaiting the bride’s slightly late arrival.

Sophie and her bridesmaids had decided to walk to the church from the couple’s nearby flat.

The guests headed off to the reception venue on a London Routemaster Bus, whilst Sophie, Marc, The Paparazzi and I stayed behind for the couple’s wedding portraits:

Then the happy couple and I headed of to the location of our pre-wedding shoot, the Temple Church Courtyard, for some more portraits:

After the portraits we joined the guests at The Crypt Restaurant, in the City of London, with the initial drinks reception being held outside, in front of the venue.

The Crypt is a lovely venue with gorgeous food, but my oh my it’s DARK. I think it’s the darkest venue I’ve ever photographed in.

Marc and Sophie spent their honeymoon climbing Kilimanjaro and their Facebook status tells me they reached the summit! Many congratulations both and your wedding and on such a fabulous achievement.
