I’ve really been looking forward to sharing this Mayfair Library Summer Wedding from my archives with you.
On this sunny summer’s day, French groom Francois married his gorgeous Chinese bride Jessica in the Marylebone Room of Westminster Register Office at Mayfair Library. Not only did the bride wear purple (which frankly, is just too fabulous for words), but this purple dream was created by none other than Queen of the Wedding Dress herself, Vera Wang! And it takes a lady with a perfect figure to carry this dress of, which Jessica did with no trouble at all.. it was just perfect and Jessica looked stunning.
It was a super intimate event, with just the bride, groom, the bride’s parents and the couple’s close friends in attendance. Jessica’s parents had flow in all the way from China to witness their little girl marry her French love. The ceremony went swimmingly, after which every threw some giant rose petals by way of confetti – and I do love a good confetti throw! (even for a tiny group).
Then it was on to Mount Street Gardens for some more family portraits, before sending the guests off to the wonderful Claridges for afternoon tea, where the bride, groom and myself would later join them. But not before taking some time for a wander around the Mayfair neighbourhood for some gorgeous wedding portraits. And whilst I don’t often do separate bridal portraits when engaged to photograph short-coverage wedding (as there usually isn’t time), I couldn’t let this amazing dress go, without a little bit of extra attention.
And off to Claridges we went.. Obviously, the hotel don’t really want the rest of their guests disturbed whilst a photographer is running around photographing a wedding party in their public area, but they were kind enough to let me get just a few shots, before the food arrived, to finish my part in this lovely young couple’s wedding story. And here is a selection of what we shot.
