One of the things I love so much about photographing Register Office Weddings, is the sheer variety in the type of clients I get. One week, I have a bride in Valentino lace, the next I get a bride with a full sleeve tattoo and a pillbox hat!
Tattooed bride Tracey looked fabulous in her flowing red hair, vintage style pillbox hat with veil, and that amazing self-portrait ink covering her whole arm. Groom Jonathan wore a dickie bow tie and checkered jacket along with piercing and gauges! They just looked great! But what made this day really special is that it was one of the most emotional civil services I have ever attended. Even the registrar was in tears, and that takes some doing! 🙂 .
It is not unusual in this day and age for a wedding to feature the children of one or both of the couple getting married, marking the creation of a new family unit for everyone. This was very much the case for this bride and groom and the children were a big part of the ceremony throughout. The emphasis was on FAMILY throughout and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as this family was bonded together by law – with the bond of love so very evidently in place already.
It was a pleasure to be part of Tracy and Jonathan’s day and I wish them and their family a very happy future together.
