We started the day with preparations at the couple’s flat, just across the river from the register office, on a lovely bright Spring morning. Annerlie, who used to be a fashion model a few years back, looked super glamourous in her purple Amanada Wakely wedding dress and Manolo Blahnik shoes, with makeup done by the very talented Sonia Allen. A vintage taxi then collected us for our short journey to Chelsea Register Office where we collected groom-to-be Richard for a couple of pre-ceremony photographs as we knew there wouldn’t be much time after the ceremony.
I don’t have permission to share any images of the couple’s guests with you, so I can’t show you much from the ceremony in The Rosetti Room, as they can clearly be seen in the background, but I can at least share the moment when the couple signed the register. After the ceremony and confetti throw on the steps (again, I can’t share this with you), the taxi then took as just a few hundred yards down the road to The Bluebird Restaurant. Annerlie and Richard had booked one of their private rooms, and Annerlie, who LOVES flowers, had arranged for the room to heavily feature an wide range of gorgeous floral arrangements. And the couple were completely “on trend” with their super stylish Lollipop Wedding Cake.
Just before the guests come through to the dining room, we had a few more minutes for some portraits and then it was time to sit down for the meal, accompanied by the dolcit tone of a harp. That’s when I left Richard and Annerlie to enjoy the rest of their wedding celebrations. Many congratulations to both of them.
