Kensington Town Hall Wedding Ceremony Rooms
From August 2018, Chelsea Register Office will we closing down the lovely Chelsea Old Town Hall for some urgent refurbishments, which are expected to last for at least 6 months. Going forward, ceremonies will be taking place at the much more modern Civic Building of Kensington Town Hall. Chelsea Register Office asked me to go and take a few photographs for them to show what the new ceremony rooms look like. And here they are! Overall, they are larger than the rooms currently available at Chelsea Old Town Hall, featuring Royal Blue carpeting throughout and wood paneled walls. I look forward to returning to Chelsea Old Town Hall as soon as possible, but in the meantime, these new rooms offer a magnificent alternative.
The Mayor’s Parlour
The Mayor’s Parlour is the larger of the two wedding ceremony rooms at Kensington Town Hall and holds up to 70 people. It is a magnificent space with wood-paneled walls and floor to ceiling windows allowing light to stream in from the side of the room. The Mayor’s Parlour is only available on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Committee Room
The Committee Room is the smaller of the two rooms, holding up to 40 people, and this is available for wedding ceremonies from Monday to Saturday, so I expect I’ll be seeing a lot of this room in the months to come.
