Wedding Photography at Southwark Register Office | Jen & Neil

Spring Wedding Photography at Southwark Register Office

I haven’t spent much time in Peckham, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when heading off to photograph Jen and Neil’s wedding at Southwark Register Office on Peckham Road.

Southwark Register Office is a grade II listed building with a lovely and bright Victorian ceremony room and a little garden at the back. It’s also got a park right next door, which is a great place to go for wedding portraits and a bit prettier than the register garden itself.

It’s certainly a busy place, with a little courtyard outside which would be great for photographs, if it wasn’t full of parked cars. But it was still a good place for the family to gather in the full on Spring sunshine, which made a lovely change from all the rain we’d been having. Bride Jane looked gorgeous in green!  The register office were running a little late, so we decided to do our formal photographs before the ceremony and just to take the big photograph featuring all guests afterwards.

Then the newlyweds and I headed off to the nearby park which had a stunning floral display for us to use as a backdrop.

And here’s a little of what we got:
