Southwark register office was originally built in the late 19th century as the Vestry Hall of the parish of St. George the Martyr. The building served as a public space for local meetings and events until it was converted into a register office in the 1970s.

Set back from the main road, with a tree-lined cobblestoned forecourt leading to the Grade II listed building, you could be forgiven for forgetting you are in the heart of Peckam! Southwark registry office is an absolute hidden gem, ideal for intimate wedding ceremonies in South East London. It’s also a great location for your wedding photography!

During the ceremony itself, you’ll be facing large patio doors, allowing the photographer plenty of natural light to work with.

After the ceremony you have the option to come out straight through the patio doors into the register office’s garden. This is a potential backdrop for your confetti throw, some family group shots, or even your bride and groom portraits. Or you can exit towards the front of the building, and have your photographs on the steps.

SOUTHWARK REGISTER OFFICE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGES

Wedding photography starts from £585 for an hour and a half, which nicely covers your arrival, the ceremony itself, your formal family groups, as well as some wedding portraits in the park.*

You receive a set of hand-finished and ready-to-print digital photos, which you’re welcome to print as many times as you like. Your photographs will be presented in a password-protected online gallery which you can share with your family and friends and from which they can order prints.

After your ceremony, Southwark Register Office offers plenty of choice when it comes to your family group photos and bride and groom portraits.

Not only do you have access to the small garden at the back, but also you have a good size landscaped park within a few minutes’ walk of the register office.

The latter provides a great backdrop to your wedding portraits all year round.

CAN YOU TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY AT SOUTHWARK REGISTER OFFICE?

Yes, Southwark’s registrars are perfectly happy to allow photography throughout the ceremony. They understand you will want to have photos to capture all the key moments of your ceremony, including the signing of the schedule.

CAN YOU BE OUR WITNESS?

Yes, and I love being a witness. You do need two witnesses, so you will need to organise at least one other. If you need any help finding a second witness, then I can usually provide one for you.

HOW SOON WILL BE GET TO SEE OUR WEDDING PHOTOS?

Your photos will be ready for viewing in your pass-word protected online gallery no later than one month after your wedding day.

HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS WILL WE RECEIVE?

This will clearly depend on the length of your coverage. But I do not edit to a specific number of photos as every wedding is unique. I will remove any photographs that have missed expressions, closed eyes or are duplicates. You will receive a fully edited, printable version of all the images that are left. The editing style will be consistent with the images you see here on my website.
