This is going to be looong post with lost of images! I knew when I photographed Ella and Carlos for their pre-wedding shoot a month ago, that we were going to have lots of fun on their wedding day – and it was a fabulous day. It started a bit precariously, when Ella’s hairdresser didn’t arrive. But Ella took it in her stride, didn’t panic, and thankfully, the salon managed to get an alternative hairdresser to the Hyatt Regency Hotel, where both Ella and groom Carlos were getting ready. I’ve rarely seen a calmer bride.
And she looked absolutely fabulous in her short little sixties style dress – like she had just stepped out of an episode of Mad Men!
Due to the timing of the day, Ella & Carlos had decided to have most of their wedding portraits BEFORE their ceremony, so as not to keep their guests waiting later. So Carlos came to collect Ella when she was dressed, and we headed down to the Embankment.
It was quite a blustery morning, and it even tried to spit a little bit – but thankfully they day brightened up considerably as it went along.
Then it was time to head over to Camden Register Office for the ceremony.
Then we took cabs to go to the reception venue, the lovely Sardo Canale in Camden, with a quick stop in Primrose Hill for a few more portraits.
Ella and Carlos are real jokers and like to pose a little bit too! So here they are dancing in the park, practicing for their first dance in the evening.
At the restaurant, Ella and Carlos had pasted lots of photographs of the two of them together on the wall, which certainly gave their guests something to chat about later in the evening.
But first time for a few drinks..
And of course, no wedding is complete without the papparazzi!
During the reception, the restaurant served perogies, handmade by the groom’s mother, and a reminder of their Argentinian heritage.
Ella and Carlos are now in Ella’s native Ukraine, where they will have ANOTHER wedding party. I’m certain they are having a fabulous time. Many congratulations to Ella and Carlos!
