The great joy of Family Photography is that I often get to go back to photograph the same families over many years. It’s such a pleasure to see them grow and watch the little ones develop, and to welcome any new arrivals. And so it is that, since my last visit with this family, there has been another new edition the gaggle of little girls. Little Elena was born 6 months before our session and was doing a great job of sitting up already. She was a great little smiler!
We stayed indoors for all but the last shot of the session. I normally prefer to shoot outside if I can, to give the kids more opportunity to run around, but this home has such lovely window light, shooting inside was not a problem. Shooting inside does give a very different feel to the images from photographs created in a park or playground. It gives the photographs a slightly more classic, calm look, in my opinion. I was really happy with the results.
4 ladies in the house certainly keeps dad Omar busy, but we were glad he got home just in time to join us for a big family shot.
