I love it whenever I get the chance to provide wedding photography at Morden Park House, the venue for Merton Register Office weddings, in south London.
The beautifully restored 18th Century Georgian building is surrounded by Morden Park, which has lush greens and established trees – a perfect backdrop for wedding portraits. Inside, ceremony rooms are more like an English stately home than a register office.
We’re at Morden Park House for the intimate spring wedding of Australian couple Gail and Bede. They chose the lovely Sheridan Room for their civil marriage ceremony in front of their closest family and friends. The light streams into the room from many windows and big patio doors. It’s a photographer’s dream as natural light falls onto the faces of the bride and groom during their wedding ceremony, making for gorgeous photos.
We took photos of Gail and Bede with their guests in front of Morden Park House and couple portraits against stone walls and dark greenery before they sped away in a white stretch limo!
If you’re planning a civil marriage in south London, this is a stunning wedding venue at any time of the year. With its beautiful interiors and expansive grounds, you have wonderful opportunities for wedding photos. If you do choose Morden Park House, get in touch about your photos.
